Dressed to Disrupt: The DNA of Streetwear was a project for Type & Image (DES310.) It involved creating a two spread magazine design with original text. This project was intended to help us get more comfortabel with InDesign and learn the basics.

Process
I used Pinterest at this time to curate imagery and graphics to use in my magazine spreads as well as to come up with ideas for how I would approach the design. I also included sketches of the layouts I was considering.
Concept & Design
I originally started off with these designs below, but got to a point where I was stuck and did not know what direction to move forward with. Eventually, I decided to mess around with doing my own hand lettering, inspired by the graffiti stop sign image. These ended up being used in my final spreads.
