Mini-Zine: I Deleted TikTok/I Redownloaded TikTok
This Mini-Zine was created at a SUNY New Paltz Design Week workshop led by SmallStuff NYC's Dinah Fried and Joe Marianek – 'Big Words, Miniature Books.'
Feeling stuck in a cycle of deleting/redownloading social media apps, I wanted to express the feelings I was encountering on the daily and the reasons behind those feelings.

Process
Below is a process video from the workshop. I first used the template and sketched out how I wanted to layout my mini zine. I wanted to create a booklet that could be read in both directions and have two meanings. I used imagery found from the internet/Envato to add to the zine. This was made using InDesign.
Concept & Design
When making this I was in a period of limbo with social media. I noticed I had been deleting and redownloading TikTok specifically because of the negativity surrounding the app. I used moths on the side about deleting tiktok to represent growth and moving forward or flying away, and used other bugs that are typically associated with negative feelings and stuck on the ground on the side about redownloading TikTok and entering back into that cycle.
